The 2006 FIFA World Cup mode is a completely authentic recreation of the real tournament. You can choose to take one 127 teams all the way through qualifying from one of the six zones (Africa, Asia, Europe, North, Central America & Caribbean, Oceania and South America) or simply choose to play the game with all the officially qualified teams for the ultimate in realistic gaming experiences.

Catch up with all the latest information with the virtual FIFA World Cup magazine. Statistics from every game are captured and presented visually so that you don't miss any minute of the action.

Furthermore, start filling your virtual passport with stamps to celebrate your victories.

For the ultimate multiplayer experience, up to eight players can battle it out simultaneously from qualification through the World Cup Finals.

Global Challenge Mode:
Global Challenge provides even the most hardcore football gamer with a real test of their ability. Complete one of 40 challenges* that take the form of classic scenarios from FIFA World Cup history but re-lived with modern teams.

Scenarios vary from overturning a 2-1 deficit with 20 minutes left on the clock to winning a crucial penalty shoot-out. With each successful completion of a scenario you can earn points that can be redeemed in the virtual store. Here you can unlock legendary players, new exotic footballs or exclusive apparel for your favourite team.
