In a distant corner of the cosmos, a small asteroid has become home to an extensive variety of robots. They are not the first beings to inhabit it. Indeed, the gigantic city they have constructed, known as Chimera, soars to vertigo-inducing heights above the vestigial remains of various earlier civilizations. Another highly notable location is the galaxy's largest spaceship dump, which is located on the back side of the planetoid. Either or both of these sites may have contributed to its name, Scrapland, which is also the title of the game that takes place within this imaginative setting.
A third-person action adventure described as combining emergent gameplay with a strong storyline and elements of racing, air combat and more, the project is in progress at the Madrid, Spain offices of Mercurysteam Entertainment, a studio formed by developers who previously collaborated on the well-regarded Blade of Darkness. Among other highlights, it will allow you to transform into some 15 characters with diverse abilities, and to take the controls of hundreds of ships with handling characteristics that vary according to weight, power and aerodynamics. Thanks to the team, we have the opportunity to examine some of the title's vibrant visuals.
