  • Demo mode

    At the opening screen, press L + R when the F-Zero logo appears.

  • Quick start

    During the pre-race countdown, accelerate after "2" and before "Ready". If done correctly, the announcer will say "Boost fire" instead of "Start".

  • Time Attack and Training modes

    Win at a Grand Prix course for any cup on any difficulty setting.

  • Platinum Cup

    Win the Bronze, Silver and Gold cups on the standard or higher difficulty setting.

  • Astro Robin

    Successfully complete Story mode with Jack Levin.

  • Big Fang

    Win the Silver Cup on the novice difficulty setting.

  • Black Bull

    Successfully complete Story mode with Black Shadow.

  • Blood Hawk

    Win the Platinum Cup on the expert difficulty setting.

  • Crazy Bear

    Win the Platinum Cup on the standard difficulty setting.

  • Death Anchor

    Successfully complete Story mode with Zoda.

    Win the Gold Cup on the novice difficulty setting.

    Successfully complete Story mode with Rick Wheeler (Ryu) or Captain Falcon.

    Reach ,550 in winnings with Rick Wheeler (Ryu) in story mode.

    Win the Gold Cup on the standard difficulty setting.

  • Hyper Speeder

    Reach ,550 in winnings with Zoda in story mode.

    Win the Bronze Cup on the standard difficulty setting.

    Win the Gold Cup on the expert difficulty setting.

  • Sonic Phantom

    Successfully complete all Class A Zero Tests with at least a "Bronze".

  • Space Angler

    Win the Bronze Cup on the novice difficulty setting.

  • Super Piranha

    Win the Silver Cup on the expert difficulty setting.

  • TwinNorrita

    Reach ,550 in winnings with Captain Falcon in story mode.

  • White Cat

    Successfully complete Story mode with Jody Summer.

  • Wild Boar

    Win the Silver Cup on the standard difficulty setting.

  • Wonder Wasp

    Successfully complete story mode.

  • Bonus ships

    Win Grand Prix mode to unlock the Red Gazelle, Iron Tiger, Deepclaw, Crazy Bear, Big Fang, Wonder Wasp, Crazy Boar, Super Piranha, Mighty Hurricane, Space Angler, Mighty Typhoon, Green Panther, or Blood Hawk. The ship that is unlocked is random. Also, the higher the difficulty setting, the more ships will be unlocked (one for novice, two for standard, or three for expert).

  • Black Shadow's storyline

    Successfully complete story mode with Rick Wheeler (Ryu), Captain Falcon, and Lisa Brilliant.

  • Captain Falcon's storyline

    Successfully complete the second storyline with Rick Wheeler (Ryu).

  • Jody Summer's storyline

    Successfully complete the fourth storyline with Rick Wheeler or third storyline with Rick Levin.

  • Lisa Brilliant's storyline

    Successfully complete the second storyline with Samurai Goro.

  • Rick Levin's storyline

    Successfully complete the third storyline with Rick Wheeler.

  • Samurai Goro's storyline

    Successfully complete the third storyline with Captain Falcon.

  • Zoda's storyline

    Successfully complete the second storyline with Captain Falcon.

  • C Class Zero Test

    Win any Grand Prix Cup circuit on any difficulty setting.

  • B Class Zero Test

    Successfully complete all C Class Zero Tests with at least a "Bronze".

  • A Class Zero Test

    Successfully complete all B Class Zero Tests with at least a "Bronze".

  • S Class Zero Test

    Successfully complete all A Class Zero Tests with at least a "Bronze".
