All characters
At the title screen, press Square, R1, Square, R2, Square, R2, Square, R1 to unlock all nineteen hidden generals. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Press Square(2), L1, L2, R1, R2, Square(2) at the title screen in the Japanese version of the game. -From: jsyu.uark.edu
All Shu generals
At the title screen, press Square(2), R1(2), Square(2), R2(2) to unlock Ma Chao, Jiang Wei, Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, and Huang Zhong. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Press Square, R1(5), R2(2) at the title screen in the Japanese version of the game.
All Wei generals
At the title screen, press Square(4), R2(2), R1(2) to unlock Cao Cao, Xiahou Yuan, Zhang Liao, and Sima Yi. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Press Square(3), L1(2), L2(3) at the title screen in the Japanese version of the game.
All Wu generals
At the title screen, press Square(2), R2(2), R1(2), Square(2) to unlock Taishi Ci, Sun Jian, Sun Quan, Lu Meng, and Gan Ning. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Press Square(2), L2(4), L1(2) at the title screen in the Japanese version of the game.
BGM Test option
At the title screen, press L1(3), R1(3), L2, R2. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Choose the "Sound" selection at the options menu, then choose "BGM Test" to hear all the background music from the game. Opening Edit option
At the title screen, press R2(3), L2(3), R1, L1. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. An "Opening Edit" selection will be unlocked on the options menu. Alternately, successfully complete musou mode with all characters except Dong Zhuo, Diao Chan, Lu Bu, Yuan Shao, and Zhang Jiao. Free mode side selection

Pause the game, choose the save option, then resume the game without saving.

Successfully complete musou mode with any character.
Unlock Huang Zhong, Ma Chao, and Jiang Wei
Successfully complete musou mode with Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, or Guan Yu.
Unlock Xiahou Yuan and Zhang Liao
Successfully complete musou mode with Xiahou Dun, Dian Wei, or Xu Zhu.
Unlock Taishi Ci, Lu Meng, and Gan Ning
Successfully complete musou mode with Zhou Yu, Lu Xun, or Sun Shang Xiang.
Unlock Zhuge Liang
Successfully complete musou mode with Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, and Guan Yu.
Unlock Liu Bei

Unlock Sima Yi

Unlock Sun Jian and Sun Quan

Unlock Lu Bu in free mode
Successfully complete Stage 2 (Hulao Gate) in musou mode with at least 1,000 KOs.
Unlock Diao Chan, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Chao, and Zhang Jiao in free mode
Successfully complete musou mode with at least one member of each kingdom.
Unlock free mode side selection and BGM Test option
