New in this patch:

* If the Windows CD Mixer can't be found VP3 now does not crash.

* More work was done in an attempt to fix the problem where the VP3 CD is not found when starting up from GameSpy Arcade.

* The velocity of the computer opponent breaks have been reduced to reflect the maximum break speed allowed by human players.

* Voodoo2 support has been added.

* Load/Save for online play has been fixed.

* Computer opponents now look for money ball combos for 10 ball or 6 ball.

* Player rating is now being computed correctly when a player resigns.

* Online communication port usage has been simplified. Configuring a firewall for online VP3 play should now be easier. This fixes the severe problem that was occurring sometimes where a person would join an existing room and then it would appear that everybody suddenly left the room. There has been a corollary problem reported where a person would create a room and whenever anybody joined the room the creator would get kicked out.

* The points weight for Snooker games during a career are now saved so that it can be properly restored when resuming career.

* The invisible cue stick problem on the snooker table has been fixed.

* Offline tournaments that have been saved and then reloaded no longer revert to 9-ball at the start of the next round.

* Declaring a draw during a career game has been disabled.

* The break is now alternating properly for games that require it when one of the players resigns.

* When a computer opponent is shooting a color in snooker the status area ball-on indicator is now working correctly.

* When playing online and a player disconnects (for whatever reason), the current game is automatically saved. Remaining players receive a notice about this. This is not considered a loss for the player who disconnected as the game can now be continued at a later time. Note that this only applies to disconnects (either by clicking the Disconnect button or getting disconnected somehow from your internet connection), not quitting VP3.

* When playing online, only the human opponent used to start up the online session is available in the game setup dialog when "Human Opponents" is selected.

* When playing snooker and designating the next ball-on, the dialog now says "Designate Ball-On" instead of "Call Shot".

* When playing snooker online and watching another player selecting a ball-on, the dialog on your screen now says "Designate Ball-On" instead of "Select Free Ball".

* Management of the two cueballs when playing billiards online has been fixed. Billiards should now work correctly online!

Fixes:

1) Double clicking on a VP3 saved game file did not work

2) A win in 8 ball lowered the players rating instead of raising it

3) Hitting Esc when the computer opponent was calling a shot caused it to Miscall

4) In Snooker playing online, the Ball On was incorrect

5) When starting GameSpy Arcade from VP3, VP3 could give erroneous CD not in drive errors on launch from GameSpy

6) When playing online using Arcade the player stats being collected were incorrect

7) Support for starting up ladders/leagues/tournaments online was fixed

8) Computer opponent shooting too hard into side pockets at low angles

9) In Snooker during phase 2 the ball on would not be spotted on a foul.

10) Table diamonds were placed in the wrong positions.

11) Snooker Career was spotting games instead of points

12) In Straight pool on the 3rd consecutive foul, the rack was incorrect if a ball was pocketed on the 3rd foul.

13) Saved games with shot clock may crash on loading.

14) Single player VP2/VPHall saved games would not load.

15) In Cowboy you could carom to score 101 points.

16) If the shot clock extension was greater than the shot clock base it was displayed incorrectly.

Additions:

1) Don't show me again option for software mode notice in online play

2) Single ESC skips all intro screens and movies

3) Game or match over dialogs have been removed for online play

4) Chat commands for ignoring players have been added, use /help to see the commands
