Good cookie cutter strat for later bosses is to use frost nova > adrenaline rush > frost nova > pw shield > frost nova > cold blood pyro, rinse and repeat w/ dust and maybe polymorph. You need at least perdition's blade for this (it gives max energy), if you dont have it, skip pw shield or a nova, the boss should only get 1 hit on you either way before you pyro crit him.

easy way to deal ton of damage in this game!: you will need cold blood and pyroblast. yeah it would need take you to be level 8 to get them both if your rouge nor mage. when you do start the fight with cold blood. (it won't take a turn) then cast pyroblast then bam you can do like 600 or more damg (it wont always works it because you have 10% counterattack and cold blood will be gone if you hit your enemy but it is worth it!) :D i know it takes three turn but it is powerful spell
