Unlock Hard Mode

To unlock the Hard difficulty level beat the game once.

Unlock Very Hard Mode

To unlock Very Hard Mode beat the game once on Hard mode.

Unlockable Characters

Unlockable How to Unlock
Assassin (Female Selke) Appears on Hard or Very Hard only, world map, near Desert Ruins, must be in multiplayer and have an extensive friends list.
Gerald (Male Clavat) Appears on Hard or Very Hard only, world map near forest, must have 1,000 kills.
Penguin (Female Lilty) Appears on any Difficulty, in front of the Library, must be on Very Hard to recruit.
Red Mage (Male Selke) Appears on any Difficulty, in front of the library, pay 5,000 Gil.

Ring of Fates bonus bosses

After the events of the library, return there and defeat all the enemies in the first area. At this point a warp point will be revealed that leads to a room where you can fight bosses from "Ring of Fates." Put the book onto the bookstand to enter the fight.

Replay Final Dungeon

Once you beat the game, go back to the gate and examine the "stuff." Then leave and you will notice that the final dungeon is now available again.

Secret Dungeon

After completing the main game, the secret dungeon will be visible on the world map (lower right section).
